The tourist route named “From the Depths NA-GORA”, uncluding visiting the BitCluster Nord data center in Norilsk, awarded the 1st place in the “Best Industrial Tourism Route” category. It also secured a diploma in the “PROMtechnologies” category as the best excursion to high-tech production.
The Norilsk Development Agency’s excursion “From the Depths NA-GORA” secured first place in the “Best Industrial Tourism Route” category at the final of the X All-Russian Award “Route of the Year” held in Ufa during the III International Forum in Ethno-Tourism.
The bus and walking tour “From the Depths NA-GORA” takes visitors to two industrial sites: the Kayerkansky Anhydrite Mine and the BitCluster data center, along with the Norilsk Museum. These stops highlight the mining of mineral resources in the Arctic’s challenging conditions. The tour’s core concept is to evoke the drive to unearth their own resources in visitors, in line with the expression “na-gora” known as “bringing it to the surface” in miners’ slang.
At the concluding ceremony of the Open Industry industrial tourism accelerator, organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) in collaboration with the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, BitCluster Nord data center awarded with a diploma in nomination promtechnologies as the best
excursion to high-tech production.
Over 540 projects from 60 regions across Russia vied for participation in this year’s Route of the Year, with nearly 270 initiatives making it to the finals. Among the finalists, the Norilsk Development Agency stood out as the sole participant representing the Krasnoyarsk Region, securing a spot in the prestigious national finals of the industry competition this year.
